Stress Holter Technician

Role and Responsibilities

The ideal EKG Technician candidate is someone who is able to maintain effective communication with patients, staff and physicians; and ensure appropriate protocols with procedures and customer satisfaction.

• Performs electrocardiograms, including stress test and holter monitoring on patients as directed by a Physician.

• Prepares and monitors patient for Electrocardiogram Examination and Treadmill Stress Test.

• Outfits and educates patient on holter and event monitors.

• Upon return completes all holter monitor scanning, event monitor transmissions and scanning in a timely and accurate manner.

• Performs various office tasks including but not limited to confirming appointments, checking schedules, chart prep, patient charges, ordering supplies, cleaning and stocking.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

• EKG or Medical Technology courses, preferred.

• BLS Certification, required.

• ACLS Certification, preferred, but must be obtained within first 6 months of employment.
